Analog Aficionados was the creation of Paul Rako, who in 2010 revived the annual gatherings once held by late Linear Technology great Jim Williams.
The centerpiece of Analog Aficionados is an annual dinner, held in the San Francisco Bay area either the Saturday or Sunday before the International Solid-State Circuits Conference. Paul retired in 2014 to the Tampa Bay area to work on classic Harley-Davidsons, though he is still serving as the godfather of Analog Aficionados. Tim McCune, former president of Linear Systems and currently working with Qorvo, is the host and coordinator of Analog Aficionados. This year's dinner is scheduled for February 15, 2025. Please contact Tim directly or use the form below for more details.
Analog Aficionados exists to provide a time and place for the people who devote their lives to analog component and circuit design to gather to see old friends and make new ones. At the annual dinner we recognize those who have played a special part in this industry by creating placemats with pictures and brief bios.
